A number of 1.3 billion tons of food are wasted every year in the world. In Bangladesh, 5000 tons of food get wasted every year and there are people who still cannot get anything to eat. Shomoy comes with a thought of a solution to these wastage by giving the extra food to those who are in need.
Our Project’s Objectives:
We are collecting extra food which most of the restaurants used to throw away after their business hours. These restaurant owner often felt extra food may get rotten and so they would get rid of it. We have made some agreement with different restaurants across the country to collect the food and distribute them to the needy.
Not only from restaurants, we are also getting requests from some residents of different cities to collect their extra cooked food which might get wasted by night. We are planning on collecting these food and distribute these among the starving people.
